Explorers Celebrate Aviation History Uncategorized by Sonya Bernard-Hollins - November 10, 2025November 10, 20250 If you had the opportunity to interview an astronaut, what would you ask? The Merze Tate Explorers have had the honor of interviewing legends in various fields. In November, we flashback on some of our most celebrated women who have made history in aviation. While Bessie Coleman set the stage for other women of color to follow in aviation, others, such as Mae Jemison, Sian Proctor, and Monique Grayson, have made history. Even more amazing is that members of the Merze Tate Explorers have interviewed them! And, two of our Explorer alumni are celebrated for making history as the first Explorers to pilot an aircraft! Check out this fun flashback featuring Aliah Ward and Sasha Hollins. Check out these video highlights from past interviews in celebration of Aviation Month!
